Eagles of Death Metal, a California rock band, was performing last Friday, Nov 13, when the terrorist assaulted Paris nightclub Le Bataclan, they were fortunate to escaped from the chaos but Nick Alexander, the band's merchandising manager, died.
Alexander, 36, had worked with the band's merchandise table during their European tour, became part of the nearly 130 people killed in six attacks made at diverse locations all throughout the city, Rolling Stone Reported.
Statements were taken from the beloved family of Alexander. "It is with huge sorrow that we can confirm that our beloved Nick lost his life at the Bataclan last night. "Nick was not just our brother, son, and uncle; he was everyone's best friend" significant others of Nick stated.
"Nick died doing the job he loved and we take great comfort in knowing how much he was cherished by his friends around the world. Thank you for your thoughts and respect for our family at this difficult time. Peace and light," the statement continued.
Moreover, the band and its crew managed to survive the attack family members of Eagles of Death Metal told NBC News.
Emily Hall Dorio also gave a statement, wife of the band's drummer Julian Dorio that she is grateful that Julio is alive at the same time heartbroken because of what had happened. She also added that all the musicians tried to escape as much as they could from the venue and escape from a nearby police station.
Eagles of Death Metal was supposed to have a show in Portugal till December 10 this year, but because of the chaos happened in Paris they decided to cancel their tour and will go back to United States to ensure their safety, Agence France-Presse reported.
France remained to be in a state of emergency and French authorities conducted 150 anti-terror raids across the country, according to CNN. The network also said that there will be an international manhunt for Belgian French national Salah Abdeslam in connection with the attacks.
