NBA Trade Rumors: An Update on Joakim Noah’s Status and Insight on Possible Transfer to Boston Celtics

Joakim Noah was considered as 'untouchable' in the Bulls roster according to allaboutrookies. However, such status is no longer applicable to Noah probably because of their new coach and his so-called game decline. It has been observed in most games of the Bulls, the once center star player of the team is not anymore playing as a starting five of the roster. It seems like his role has been totally eclipsed by the presence of Nikola Mirotic and Pau Gasol.

Gasol and Mirotic are now taking the role of Noah. Aside from the two big man taking away his time, Noah is also in competition with fellow veteran Taj Gibson and rookie player Bobby Portis. In addition to the said scenario, Noah is also being riddled with injury, hence affecting more of his output this season. As a result of these known factors, rumors started surfacing detailing a possible trade for Noah. A blog pippenainteasy stipulated that;

"Noah is getting older and losing that energy he used to always play with. He also doesn't seem to fit into the offensive direction the Bulls are moving in. The Bulls could trade him while he still has some value around the league."

In connection to the said trade rumors, Boston Celtics is one of the team who would probably take Noah in their roster. With Noah Out of the Bulls, it expected that talented young players would have more playing time, like Portis. And on the part of the Celtic, Noah's presence would definitely improve their roster, provided know will get back in shape.

Allaboutrookies also added that if Celtic would acquire Noah, "they could offer the Minnesota Timberwolves 2016 1st round pick in exchange for Noah, as the Celtics have that pick in their inventory. Some would argue the T-Wolves 2016 pick is too valuable for Noah, but if the Celtics want to take the gamble that they can play Noah into form, then it could very well prove to be worth it."

Noah's departure from the Bulls would definitely benefit multiple teams, but as of now there are still know certainty regarding these rumors. There is still much time for Noah to be back on track and reclaim his untouchable status in the Bulls.
