"The Divergent Series: Allegiant" co-stars Theo James and Shailene Woodley have reportedly become much closer while filming the franchise's third installment.
According to Fashion & Style, the on-screen couple's closeness is inevitable because they have been working together for the past couple of years now. In fact, thousands of fans believe that James and Woodley may also have feelings for each other outside their Four and Tris characters.
During an interview with Dazed Digital, James gushed over his co-star Woodley.
"We all hung out a lot. It was fun. We were all in this one apartment. We're all sharing a bed - me and Shailene just shared a single bed and were just like spooning every night!" the actor joked.
He immediately clarified, "No, we were all in this same apartment block so it felt like camp for better or worse. It was fun and we hit the town quite a lot and drunk our weight in tequila."
Meanwhile, James also talked about the kind of chemistry he has with Woodley. According to him, he and Woodley never had any awkward encounters even when they are filming their intimate scenes because they are comfortable with each other.
"It was easy, to be honest. I've said this before: I think sometimes you have to make stuff happen chemistry-wise. You have to force it. But when you don't and it's very real and natural, that makes for the best scenes and also the most fun because if you have natural chemistry you can have fun and you can build on that," James said.
In other news, Tris and Four will face new challenges in the upcoming movie. The two will leave Chicago with their friends Peter (Miles Teller) and Christina (Zoe Kravitz), as well as Tris' brother Caleb (Ansel Elgort).
"The Divergent Series: Allegiant' is slated to hit theaters in the United States on Mar. 18, 2016.
