Sir Michael Caine 1960s Home for Sale at £5M

Sir Michael Caine's prestigious mews home in London where he lived when he filmed "Alfie" and "Get Carter" is currently listed in the market for £5 million. With that, it would mean that the new owner of the property near Hyde Park could get a slice of the 1960s life of Sir Michael Caine, Mail Online reported.

Originally, the house was comprised of two mews houses but was merged together featuring a terrace. The interior also features everything a Hollywood movie star needs like air conditioning, Sonos sound system, designer kitchen and oak flooring.

It also has four large bedrooms that are equipped with bespoke wardrobes and ensuite bathroom or shower room. Its master bedroom has its own walk-in wardrobe. The three-story house has a library and a study area on the first floor which can also be converted into a fifth bedroom since a sliding bookcase can reveal a bed.

But the home no longer look classic because it was redesigned with a modern feel and is ideal for families who are looking for a spacious home that is quite and has some historic touch.

Sir Michael made his best-known films while living in the now-exclusive Albion Close. Its location is just a short stroll from Park Lane, and is set behind a brick façade in a cobbled street.

"Of the 339 mews in London, just 8.5 per cent are gated, making this lovely home an extremely rare opportunity for a potential buyer looking for a spacious and private home in the heart of London. Albion Close has a village-like feel and is one of the quietest places to live in London, creating a peaceful and quaint setting in which to live," said Joe Le Beau, sales manager at estate agent Kay & Co in Hyde Park.

Aside from this dwelling, there are also a dozen houses in Albion Close that are near the Marble Arch and Oxford Street. The property is listed on Zoopla for £4,950,000.

Sir Michael, who has appeared in over 115 films, currently lives in Leatherhead, Surrey, but has also resided in North Stoke, Oxfordshire; Clewer, Berks; Lowestoft, Suffolk; and Chelsea Harbour, London. Aside from that, he also owns an apartment at the Apogee in Miami Beach, Florida, and a small flat in south east London, Mirror reported.
