During the wake of a series of terror attacks which have struck Paris last Friday, international opening of the film and press events in the city for Natalie Portman's movie entitled "Jane Got a Gun" were cancelled. Actors Joel Edgerton and Ewan McGregor are part of the cast of the movie as well.
Mars Film, which is responsible for film distribution in France, does not have the film's projected release just yet, but it is expected to happen in the early months of 2016. It almost coordinated with the scheduled release in the United States, which was originally set to happen in February of 2016.
The deadly incident in Paris has also resulted to other business and entertainment engagement cancellations. Among others, the French opening of "Bridge of Spies," a Steven Spielberg film which stars Tom Hanks, was also dropped. Other scheduled concerts like U2, Marilyn Manson and Motorhead, have subjected to cancellations too.
The cancellations of entertainment events are among the latest in an outpouring show of support for the nation of France, which is currently in turmoil after coordinated terrorist attacks have left the whole world mourning for the lost lives of 127 people in multiple parts of the city.
Countless celebrities and entertainment hosts have also extended their thoughts and prayers by using multimedia platforms.
The President of France, François Hollande, has been evacuated from the sports stadium Stade de France, after the blast. The French President has vowed to be "ruthless" in their retaliation.
United States of America President Barack Obama called the violent incident as an attack to humanity.
