Thomas Juul-Hansen sells New York City pad for $2.4 million

Thomas Juul-Hansen, the famous Danish interior designer, has reportedly sold his loft-like pad in New York City's Tribeca neighborhood for $2.4 million, according to reports.

Hansen purchased the residence about two and a half years ago for $1.25 million. The New York Observer reports that Linda E. Day, a renowned doctor in Seattle, is the buyer. Susan Green and Brett Miles of Town Residential held the listing.

According to public records, the residence at 134 Duane Street is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom spacious condo featuring plush hardwood flooring, floor-to-ceiling windows and drywall ceilings.

Floor plans of the home show an entry opening into a narrow foyer that leads up to a large room divided into a sitting and dining area. There is an open kitchen, a sleep loft and balcony. The master bedroom has large walk-in closets.

The man behind One57, Juul-Hansen is currently working on twin buildings at 505 West 19th Street. A tipster reportedly dropped off a few renderings of the project at Curbed, offering a look into the overall design, whereas only a preview of a penthouse in one of the buildings was available before.

Floor plans of one of the units show three bedrooms, three bathrooms with an open plan, a large living area with an adjoining kitchen, a study, a powder room and a mud room.

"The revitalization of the High Line has transformed West Chelsea into a mecca of art and progressive architecture. Thomas Juul-Hansen sets a new standard of engaging modernism with two interconnected buildings that rise on either side of this celebrated New York park," the official website for the high line condos reads.
