Ryan Lewis puts down $3.3 million for Seattle estate

Ryan Lewis, Grammy Award-winning producer and DJ, has purchased a 7,610-square-foot estate on the famed Perkins Lane in northwest Seattle for just $3.3 million.

Redfin reports that the property was listed for a whopping $8.9 million in 2005 and has been on and off the market since then, undergoing a total of eight price adjustments.

The estate covers nearly an acre, while the two-story abode includes four bedrooms and three full and one three-quarter bathrooms. It also features a library, a master bathroom equipped with a jetted tub, a wine cellar and an outdoor deck offering eye-catching views of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains.

The home has spacious living rooms upstairs complete with mini-kitchens, a basement ready to entertain and terraces teeming with flowers. According to the website, the property also includes a 150-foot private beachfront.

The winner of four Grammy Awards is said to have been lured in by the location of the property, which offers the feel of a small town, but is still close to the city.

The property was listed with Katharine Gibson of Windermere Real Estate Co.

Lewis showed keen interest in music production from an early age. Together with Ben Haggerty, a.k.a. Macklemore, he produced a few trial run songs in 2008 and they collaborated on a project that later became VS. EP. The 25-year-old musician has won several awards, including the American Music Awards
