Scarlett Johansson is expecting her first child with fiancé Romain Dauriac, according to People. It has been just six months since the 29-year-old red-lipped actress announced her engagement to the 31-year-old French journalist.
Confirming her engagement, the actress told the website, "I'm very happy," adding, "He's my buddy."
"Being engaged is an exciting time to enjoy and to really savor," Johansson said.
From 2008 to 2011, Johansson was married to Canadian film and television actor Ryan Reynolds. She's also been romantically linked to Jack Antonoff, Josh Hartnett and Sean Penn.
Although Johansson and Dauriac announced their engagement in September through their representative, appearing on "Good Morning America" on Jan. 15, Johansson remarked that their wedding was "far off."
"I'm not doing any wedding planning," she said at the time.
Dauriac proposed to the beautiful "Don Jon" actress a little more than six months ago with a vintage art deco diamond engagement ring. On Feb.28, Johansson was seen with her fiancé on the red carpet at the Cesar Film Awards in Paris. While she appeared trim and stunning as usual, her stomach appeared to push against her jacket.
In December 2013, Johansson confessed to the Daily Mail, "I would like to have my own family; that would be nice." She went on to add, "They say it's never the right time and I am sure that's true, but I think you have to plan it like anything else...At some point it is something I look forward to."
The former child actor also said that she was fortunate to have a long career, spanning almost 20 years. "That has been very diverse. So, you know, picking a time to plan a family feels like something that I could do and not feel as though I was missing out."
Johansson made her film debut as a child in "North" in 1994 and was also nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female lead for her role in the 1996 movie "Manny & Lo." Her first adult role was in "Girl with a Pearl Earring" in 2003.
