How To Get Your Bathroom Ready For Houseguests

The holiday season is nearing and this means friends and family coming over. You have prepared the living room and the bedrooms, but how about the bathroom?

Here's how to get your bathroom ready for houseguests that you can do in a two-week-slow-paced-and-relaxed plan according to Apartment Therapy:

2 weeks before: Load in extra linens

When you already have the number of guests that you are expecting, two weeks before is a nice time to stock on towels enough for your holiday visitors. According to Matouk, you can estimate by allotting two bath and hand towels for every guest, and an additional two washcloths daily.

1 week before: Deep clean

If you don't do as much cleaning in your bathroom, then this is the time to finally get your hands dirty. Do all the scrubbing to make sure that you are not leaving any type of mold accumulation in the tub, sink, and the shower floor. When you begin with a clean slate, the rest should now come easy.

3 days before: Stock up on toiletries

You don't really need to make your bathroom look like the Four Seasons so no need for those little bottles of body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Know what guests would appreciate? When you think ahead to stock on bathroom essentials; store-brand-basics such as toothpaste, body wash, shampoo, conditioner in big enough containers should have you all covered - and of course, lots and lots of toilet paper.

1 day before: Give them some space

And we mean this literally. See to it that you have left a space open in your bathroom counter and shelves for your guests to have a place for their own pimping supplies - this should make them feel right at home.

Last step: Freshen up

Right before the guests arrive, make sure to give the bathroom a quick refresh. Swipe the mirrors of mist and fingerprints, do a few sprays of air cleanser and freshener, and make sure that's everything is clean and dry especially the floor.
