Jared Padalecki of 'Supernatural' sells San Fernando Valley home for $2.4 million

Jared Padalecki of the fantasy-horror television series "Supernatural" has just sold his 2,818-square-foot home in San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, for a modest $2.4 million, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Padalecki listed this gated property for $2,495,000 in November soon after the announcement that he and his actress wife Genevieve Cortese Padalecki were expecting their second child this summer. The actor has said that he is selling the home for a bigger house that will be more family-friendly and accommodate a family of four.

Built in 1924, this Spanish-style residence sits on an extensive 15,332-square-foot lot and has been renovated many times throughout the years. It features a formal foyer, vaulted beam ceilings and stained glass. It comes with four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a formal dining room, a living room, a game room and a library.

According to an earlier report in Truliablog.com, the master suite has French doors that lead to a private patio offering views of the surrounding valleys, as well as a custom-made walk-in closet, shower with detached soaking bath and double sinks.

On the outside, the property includes vast grounds and plenty of room for a pool.

Public records show that the 31-year-old actor acquired the home for $1,775,000 in July 2009 and updated it meticulously.

The property was listed with Gail Sternberg of Dilbeck Realtors.

Padalecki rose to fame in the early 2000s after appearing on the television series "Gilmore Girls," and has been appearing in "Supernatural" since 2005. He's appeared in a number of Hollywood movies, including "New York Minute" and "House of Wax."
