Bill Maris, managing director of Google Ventures, just sold his 2,065-square-foot Palo Alto, CA, condominium to his neighbor Apple CEO Tim Cook's home for $2,849,000, reports Realtor.com.
Property records show that Maris had listed the two-story home for $2,849,000 in early February and it was sold for exactly the same price. The Google executive had acquired the property for $1.98 million in 2010.
Built in 2012, this modern home includes four bedrooms, two guest rooms, and three bathrooms. The master suite features custom-made large cabinets and a designer bath. In addition to another elegant bedroom upstairs, there are two guestrooms, one of which has been converted one into an office, according to the report.
The home is airy and includes a gourmet kitchen that leads to a living room through an eating area. The living room has a wood-burning fireplace.
Situated at the end of a private driveway, the property offers wonderful privacy. At the same time, it offers all modern civic amenities, as it is located very close to shops and restaurants in the busy Palo Alto downtown.
The condominium was listed with Wendy Kandasamy of Zan Macgregor & Company.
In addition to founding Google Ventures in 2009, Maris also made profitable investments in various tech firms, including Nest, Uber and 23andMe.
