Does Michael Jackson have a love child? Yes, if E online is to be believed. However it may seem incredible, the website reports that singer Brandon Howard's DNA allegedly matched 99.9 percent to the "King of Pop."
According to the report, 31-year-old Howard not only bears a striking resemblance to the late "King of Pop," but a recent a DNA test taken by the crooner from a dental imprint showed a 99.9 percent match to Michael Jackson!
Revealing the results of this DNA test, a dental surgeon from Beverly Hills, Dr. Joseph Goodman stated that he got a hold of Jackson's DNA sample from a dental device belonging to the legendary "Thriller" singer. Dr. Goodman claimed he purchased the device at an auction.
A report in the New York Daily News says the dental surgeon pulled out a paper from an envelope and said the test revealed 99.9 percent "probability of Michael Jackson being Howard's father. "I think we have proof," he said.
However, Dr. Goodman did not declare the names of the subjects of the DNA test or the lab where the test was carried out. He said generally such tests are conducted anonymously and related information were kept secret for security reasons.
The doctor told a press conference in Beverly Hills on Thursday, "I'm sure that there will be doubters and there will be haters and there will be those who create, build a controversy, but it is what it is."
Meanwhile, just before the results were made public, Howard made a video public on FilmOn to share what he thought about all the publicity related to the DNA test. "It seems a lot of people are speaking on my behalf, so I'm going to keep this short and simple," he began to say. "One, I did not call TMZ, I didn't put out a story, nothing. Two, I never proclaimed to be his son. Three, I am definitely not suing the estate.
"I have been taken care of very well and also I make my own cash. Four, It's true I had a DNA test, but this had nothing to do with any of this, I swear on my life."
Howard, who does not have a birth certificate, is believed to have been born in 1981. His mother 53-year-old pop singer Miki Howard appeared in the 1993 movie "Poetic Justice" with Janet Jackson. It has long been rumored that he was the child Jackson referred to in his 1982 hit "Billie Jean" with the line: "The kid is not my son."
Meanwhile, Howard Weitzman, Jackson's estate lawyer, remains doubtful. "It sounds like a fraud to me," Weitzman told the Daily News. "I've never heard of the man," Weitzman said, referring to Howard. "He's never made any claims with the estate or with any recognized tribunal that I'm aware of."
What has complicated matters more is a 65-year-old backup singer from Michael Jackson's 1979 album, "Off The Wall," named Augie Johnson has also declared that he is the real father of Howard.
