'The Huntsman: Winter's War’ First Spoiler Teaser Trailer, Characters and Release Date

A clip has been unveiled ahead of the release on Wednesday for the first full trailer of 2016's 'The Huntsman: Winter's War.'

The main players of the sequel to the 2012 film are Snow White and the Huntsman. Eric, the Huntsman is played by Chris Hemsworth, Freya is played by Emily Blunt, Charlize Theron will be Evil Queen Ravenna, and Jessica Chastain will play Sara, a fellow huntsman and the love interest of Eric.

The teaser was released after Monday's debut of the character posters of Chris Hemsworth, Emily Blunt, Charlize Theron and Jessica Chastain.

The frightening fit of Charlize Theron can be seen in the 15-second clip where she is joined by co-stars Chris Hemsworth, Jessica Chastain, and Emily Blunt, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The character of Emily as Ravenna's ice queen sister Freya, is introduced in the teaser wherein she arrives riding on the back of a polar bear.

The short clip promises action as Eric is seen holding an axe as he tries to jump off a roof.

The sequel was supposed to be directed by Rupert Sanders, who helmed Snow White and the Huntsman. But in August 2012, it was learned that Sanders was cheating on his wife with actress Kristen Stewart when they got involved in the first film.

Due to this, the sequel was shelved and the Huntsman was planned instead, which would not star Stewart.

On Monday, The Huntsman: Winter's War unveiled the new character posters of the four roles, which include Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth, Jessica Chastain and Emily Blunt. A 15-second clip of the trailer shows a knife-wielding Jessica Chastain and Emily Blunt riding a polar bear, reported Entertainment Weekly.

Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron will both reprise their roles as the huntsman Eric and the evil queen Ravenna. Jessica Chastain plays the role of the warrior Sara, Eric's long-lost love, and Emily Blunt will act as Ravenna's ice queen sister, Freya.

The Huntsman: Winter's War is scheduled to hit theaters on April 22, 2016.
