Rumors indicate that Kate Middleton enjoyed lavish gifts from Prince Williams especially diamonds which is one of the reasons she married him.
Prince William has given many gifts to wife Kate Middleton and he never failed to offer her everything that will make her happy. Gifts from Prince William include many different jewelries which no doubt has won the heart of the now Duchess of Cambridge, Movie Guide reported.
The first jewelry that Prince William gave to Middleton to show his affection to the lovely lady was a rose gold Victorian ring studded with garnets and pearls. Said ring was worn by Kate back in 2005 when she was dating the prince. The ring has a deep meaning as it represents birthstones -- garnets for Kate and pearls for William.
Five years after, Middleton received a 12-carat Ceylon sapphire ring for their engagement. The ring belongs to the late Princess Diana, William’s late mother. What made the ring very precious aside from the fact that it is owned by Princess Diana is that it is considered as one of the most popular jewelries in the world.
The ring has stones set in white gold of 18 carats and these are surrounded by 14 diamonds. Based on the royal's tradition, royal brides should wear a ring that is made from Welsh gold and is owned by the royal family which is the reason Prince William gave Middleton the Ceylon sapphire ring for their engagement.
The Duchess of Cambridge's life-changing move from being a commoner to a princess was seemingly symbolized by a ring with a combination of yellow gold. William once again gave her one of his late mother's precious possessions sometime during their engagement and at their wedding day which is a pair of sapphire and diamond earrings that matched with her engagement ring. But her earrings were remodeled into drops which she wore on the Canadian tour three months after her wedding, Pop Sugar reported.
On Christmas Day 2011, Middleton was also spotted wearing her favorite green amethyst and diamond earrings which was done by her favorite designer, Kiki McDonough. The earrings seem to be a Christmas present from William to mark their first season celebrating together as husband and wife.
For their third wedding anniversary, reports reveal that William gave Middleton a Ballon Bleu de Cartier watch that are embedded with tiny blue stones prior to their Australia and New Zealand tour last year. Middleton was seen wearing the watch during the trip.
After the birth of Prince George, it is speculated that she was given a slim diamond eternity ring by Annoushka which Middleton wears alongside her wedding ring and sapphire ring that she got in 2014.
