Brian Giles, the former San Diego Padres outfielder has reportedly put his home in San Diego for sale with an asking price of $6.99 million.
According to the Realtor Blog, Giles purchased the place for $7.9 million in January 2006. Considering the sale price, Giles will cash in on a $905,000 loss if the home sells for the current price.
Listing records of the home state that the residence is a single-family, 11,758-square-foot house sitting on a prime 1.39-acre lot. Comprising of five bedrooms, six full and one half bathroom, the place is a gated, private Mediterranean style home.
Interiors of the residence feature paneled hardwood flooring, wood beamed ceilings and large glass doors and windows. Exclusive living spaces include a family room, a media room, a game room, a separate breakfast area with a gourmet kitchen and a huge dressing room. A laundry, exercise room and wine cellar are some of its other additional features.
Outside, the home has a detached guest house, which has two extra suites. An outdoor kitchen, a fire pit, a four-car garage and a large shapely pool with waterfall features also exist on the property.

Giles played 15 seasons in Major League baseball. In a scintillating career, Giles scored 287 home runs, 411 doubles and 1,183 walks in 1,847 games. He played with three teams his whole career, last appearing playing for the Padres. He announced his retirement in 2010 citing some physical issues. He was having troubles with his right knee.
"I knew this coming in, with the little bit of testing I did. It's not good enough for my expectations," he told MLB.com about his final minor league contract with the Dodgers, which he signed but never played.
"Physically, I'm not able to do what I'd like to do. We talked about it, and there are no regrets."
"I really have no regrets. I played the game hard, respected the game. I wish I was still physically able to be part of this team, it just didn't work out," he added.
