The Drama Desk and Outer Critics Center awards' winner and box-office hit musical, 'Ruthless!', will be extended until January 30 of next year as reported by the Broadway World.The musical had their preview last June 25, 2015 at the St. Lukes Theatre. The musical revamped has been receiving various reviews and nailing five-star ratings from various theater critics and media reporters.

"The style of the show, directed by Mr. Paley, is so high camp there ought to be a sleepaway version. The actors give the material their big-voiced, big-haired all, but the antics often feel forced rather than delirious." as quoted from The New York Times article.
Observer Cultures says, "The book and lyrics by Joel Paley, who also did the staging, are clever and hilarious; the music, by Marvin Laird, devilishly bouncy. The cast shucks excellent corn."
Theater Mania says "Librettist Paley (who also directs) helms a zippy and efficient production in the first half that becomes increasingly plodding as the actors claw and mug for every last laugh. Contemporary references (like Caitlyn Jenner) have been added to the script in an almost perfunctory manner."
As mentioned in their website, 'Ruthless!' musical follows a story about Tina Denmark, a beautiful, appealing, devilish but talented young girl, who's also determined to secure her lead role in her school play. The whole show have a lot of funny twists towards the end of the act.
The book author, award-winning lyricist and director, Joel Paley lead this year's production. It will be remembered that he also directed the first production of 'Ruthless' which won the 1993 Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical. The veteran composer, Marvin Laird is pleased to work with the whole creative team together with Ricky Romano as the musical director and Jeramiah Peay as the stage manager.The amazing cast members features Tori Murray as Tina; Paul Pecorino as Sylvia St. Croix; Kim Maresca as Judy Denmark; Rita McKenzie as Lita Encore; Andrea McCullough as Miss Thorn; and Jennifer Diamond as Louise Lerman/Eve.
The child stars like Britney Spears, Natalie Portman and Laura Bell Bundy were also first launched in the original production of 'Ruthless!'.
