Madonna has announced that she is collaborating with EDM star Acicii to make new music. The Queen of Pop declared this to the world via Instagram recently, saying "On my way to the studio to work with Avicii!"
Billboard reports that earlier, Avicii, whose track "Wake Me Up" climbed to the No. 4 position on the Billboard Hot 100, had tweeted "Studiomode!"
However, neither Madonna nor Avicii, also called Tim Bergling, provided any details regarding what they were precisely collaborating on - whether their sessions were meant for the Queen of Pop's next album, or a future release of Avicii.
However, the 55-year-old singer told the Canadian media in Feb. that she was working on with the follow-up to 2012's "MDNA," saying, "Plants are in the works already. Don't ask me with whom, it's a secret. Top secret."
Everyone is aware of the Material Girl's fellow feeling for the Swedish DJ. In fact, she had surprised everyone concerned by appearing in Avicii's set at the 2012 Ultra Music Festival in Miami.
Earlier, Avicii remixed "Girl Gone Wild" from the 2012 album "MDNA," of the Queen of Pop. Working with him means Madonna's next outing is likely to continue the electronic and dance-heavy styling she used on her latest projects.
Meanwhile, according to a report in RollingStone, this year the Queen of Pop is pre-occupied with plenty of high-profile appearances, including the Grammys, Miley Cyrus' MTV Unplugged concert and the Amnesty International benefit concert. Even Avicii is busy following the stupendous success of his first album "True" and "Wake Me Up."
The Swedish DJ recently told the Rolling Stone, "I'm pretty open-minded: I just look for talent," he said. "I can work with singers, but I get along better with other songwriters because it's a more creative environment. I'm very particular about certain things. Melody, I'm a super control freak. But rhythms and lyrics, I let go a lot more."
