'Pretty Little Liars' Season 6B Spoilers: EP Reveals Deadlier Villain; More Major Characters To Be Killed Off?

Big changes are coming as "Pretty Little Liars" returns for the second half of Season 6 next year, and this includes a new villain and possible more major character deaths.

Design & Trend reports that executive producer Marlene King revealed in an interview that the second part of the season will feature a "smarter and edgier" villain. She revealed that the stakes are definitely higher this time and it is not about exposing secrets but about killing if the villain does not get what he wants.

She added that the new big bad has an agenda and that the new villain will kill people to be able to get what he wants. It was said that the new villain is not about playing games and that he has a new motive. He is also a determined killer.

With that, the site also reports that there could be more major character deaths in the second half of Season 6 now that there is a deadly villain on the loose. According to the site's sources, there could be at least four major characters that will be killed off, and they are CeCe Drake (Vanessa Ray), Mona (Janel Parrish), Sara Harvey (Dre Davis) or Melissa (Torey DeVitto).

Meanwhile, Christian Post also reports other major changes in the season like new romantic partners for Hanna (Ashley Benson), Spencer (Trojan Bellasario) and Aria (Lucy Hale).  In the preview for the new episode, Hanna can be seen with her fiancée while Aria and Ezra (Ian Harding) chose to remain close friends despite their feelings for one another.

On the other hand, Spencer and Toby (Keegan Allen) are no longer in a relationship because Spencer would be busy helping her mom during the elections. It was said that Aria will be involved with someone new, while Spencer might be getting together with a familiar face.

"Pretty Little Liars" Season 6 will return on ABC Family on January 12, 2016.
