The boys of "One Direction" have always been plagued with numerous rumors since their band started in 2011. One of the most popular rumor however is when it was stated that Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson have been in a romantic relationship for years.
As per Mirror however, their former band mate, Zayn Malik stood up for them. Malik made it clear that there's nothing 'romantic' going on between the two. During his interview with The Fader magazine, Malik openly shared that he doesn't find the "Larry Stylinson" rumor to be funny at all.
"There's no secret relationships going on with any of the band members, it's not funny, and it still continues to be quite hard for them."
Malik isn't the only one to defend him former band mates. Liam Payne also took the time to reiterate that there is nothing going on between Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles.
As per Independent, during his interview with Attitude, in which he was the magazine's cover for their October issue, Payne talked about his past issues, including his drinking problems. He then talked about the band's decision to go on break, and his relationship with his current girlfriend. Payne then defended his band mates, stating that "Larry Stylinson" romantic relationship is "insane."
"When the law changed in the US there were loads of rainbow flags flying at our shows, but I think that was mainly because people think of the Louis and Harry thing [that they're secret lovers], which is absolutely nuts and drives me insane, it's like when you know the ins and outs of what's going on with people it's just annoying when it's so stupid. A lot of my friends are gay and I don't think anything about it. I actually find it funny that being gay is still something that's talked about as though it's not natural [...] My mates are my mates, regardless of their sexuality.
