‘Married at First Sight’ Recap and Spoilers: Doug Asks Jamie About Building a Family with Cortney in Episode 5

Place is very significant to the famous couple of "Married at First Sight: The First Year." In the second season, episode 6 showed that Jamie Otis has been alone and lonely after relocating to New Jersey with Doug Hehner. At the same time, Cortney tried to make Jason Carrion agree to move with her to North Carolina, her home town, although she wants her partner to propose marriage to her first.

Cortney and Jason

Cortney goes back to her hometown with Jason in North Carolina for a hoiday. The two engaged in a small fight right while Jason is driving. Cortney said that she knows Jason is not from the place because he is not a great driver.

When they arrived Cortney had a chance to sit down and talk with Marla alone. Marla is Cortney's long-time friend. She explained to Marla that they are not seeing to have kids, and plans to have them only after a couple of years or three. When Marla's husband asks Jason the same question, Jason says he wants to be financially ready before becoming a father, IBTimes reported.

Jason wishes he had the same upbringing after meeting Marla's family. It pushes his need to face his challenges over his father before he builds a family with Cortney.

While driving, Jason and Cortney sees an open house and he's surprised by the size they could have. He is really enticed to transfer to North Carolina but he says he loves living in Brooklyn.

"I can buy my own ring, don't forget that," Cortney stresses.

"Maybe you should," Jason answers. He explains he encouraged her to do so as he knows Cortney loves her hometown.

There was a very emotional moment before they left the town, while Cortney visits her grandmother's grave for the first time after her death. Good thing Jason stayed by his wife's side.
