Dakota Johnson Spotted With Jake Gyllehaal in a Night Out, Stirs Breakup Rumors Between 'Fifty Shades' Actress & Matthew Hitt

After Dakota Johnson was spotted with Jake Gyllehaal, the pair stirred rumors that they are rekindling their so-called old flame. Reports suggest that the "Fifty Shades of Grey" actress broke up with her boyfriend, Matthew Hitt, and now the "Southpaw" star is reportedly eager to win her back.

Back in August, Johnson was seen sharing a table with Gyllehaal in a Los Angeles nightclub. Although they went out of the establishment through different exits, their sighting in the same venue and on the same table hinted that they might have been working on their reconciliation, Radar Online reports. The former duo was said to be in the company of their friends to avoid the paparazzi.

"Jake and Dakota were accompanied at their table by different people throughout the night - including the owner of the bar [that's] so inaccessible to the public that it doesn't even have a name," an eyewitness said. "They left the venue through separate exits, Johnson out the front and Gyllenhaal via a back door."

Johnson and Gyllehaal reportedly had a brief romance in 2011, before the actress became famous for the franchise, "Fifty Shades of Grey." Reports claim that Jake is now dead serious to win her back, and he's even sending her flowers to prove his intention, Movie News Guide reports. However, the dating rumors were slammed by the 26-year-old actress, who told Ellen DeGeneres in September that she's single and is not dating anyone.

Meanwhile, Franchise Herald reports that Gyllehaal is determined to get Johnson back, especially now that the actress' career is flourishing. It is said that the "Nightcrawler" actor has a huge crush on Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson's daughter.

"Jake's been chasing after Dakota lately, showering her with flowers and sweet messages in a lovesick attempt to rekindle their relationship," the source said.

Johnson is set to be seen in next year's New Line comedy, "How To Be Single," which is slated to hit the theaters on Feb.12.
