Rumor has it that Adele allegedly turned down a collaboration offer from Beyoncé which made others to raise their eyebrows. The "Hello" singer finally speaks up.
According to Vanity Fair, Adele has been busy promoting her new album "25" which contains songs that talk about her personal life and fame in the music industry. In one of her interviews during her promotion, Adele took the liberty to explain and clear things up in a rumor about her and the Queen Bey.
Adele said "There is a rumor going around that I turned Beyoncé down." She cleared that there was never even an invitation to turn down first of all.
She said "Just to clear up, I would never be so disrespectful. I would never disrespect her like that. I'm such a fan, oh my God!" She then went on to enumerate her favorite artists including Lana Del Rey and Alabama Shakes in which she added "Obviously, Queen Bey to the day I die."
According to Design&Trend, that was not the first time Adele praised Beyoncé's craft as an artist. During an interview way back 2011, Adele said "I was about to meet Beyoncé and I had a full-blown anxiety attack. Then she popped in looking gorgeous, and said, 'You're amazing! When I listen to you I feel like I'm listening to God.'"
Clearly Adele will not be turning down any offer from Beyoncé especially an offer of collaborating in a song for an album.
Adele's new album highlights her personal experiences and her struggle in writing songs that will not bring pain and hurt to her fans by bringing back memories that are long buried on the back of their minds, "Someone Like You," for example.
She said "For a really long time, I was trying to write songs about my kid because [motherhood] is the biggest thing in my life, but they were boring to everyone who wasn't their mum. They were like, 'You're going on about your kid again?' So I scrapped that. A lot of my fans aren't parents, or don't want to be parents. I tried writing about other people's experiences or made-up things because I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings again."
