Kate Middleton Finally Got A Voice? Duchess Delivers a Rare Public Speech on the Topic of Child Mental Health

Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton is always known for her classy fashion and regal composure and beauty. She rarely talks about the Royal Family in public and that is why when she broke her silence, she had all eyes and ears.

According to the Daily Beast, the princess gave a lengthy speech on the subject of child mental health while attending an affair on behalf of Place2Be, one of her main charities.

In her speech she said, "I often get asked why I decided to spend time highlighting the mental health of children. I imagine my answer might be similar to many of yours.

"I know that I was lucky. My parents and teachers provided me with a wonderful and secure childhood where I always knew I was loved, valued and listened to.

"But of course many children are not so lucky. Since beginning my work in areas like addiction, for example, I have seen time and time again that the roots of poor mental health in adulthood are almost always present in unresolved childhood challenges.

"I am sure you will agree that all children deserve time, attention and love from the adults in their lives. These basic qualities are so much more valuable than the always changing material and social concerns that can seem so important to young people."

Here is another video of Kate Middleton delivering a rare speech.

For those who may be wondering why Kate Middleton rarely addresses the public, it was previously reported that the Duchess is allowed to be seen in public but not allowed to speak because it was Williams job to do the talking. Many speculate that her silence may be mandated by the Royal family because of her lack of confidence as a result of being inexperienced. Moreover, she has claimed that she has fear of public speaking and she finds speeches "nerve-wracking" thus she reportedly is getting public speaking and media training.

Does the speech above look like she has the confidence now? Or does it seem too scripted that she needs to train more?
