‘The Walking Dead’ Star Norman Reedus Talks New Motorcycle Show on AMC, Says the Concept is Similar to Anthony Bourdain's CNN Show

Daryl Dixon would still be going on a long ride even without his motorcycle in the past Sunday episode of "The Walking Dead." This is because Norman Reedus, the actor who plays the fan-favorite character in the series, is embarking on a new adventure riding his bike along with other guests for his upcoming AMC show, which is set to premiere in 2016.

It was earlier announced by the network that Reedus' documentary series, with a tentative title "Ride with Norman Reedus," would show six episodes starting next year, according to Entertainment Weekly. "The Walking Dead" star stated that the concept of the show would be like CNN's TV show starring Anthony Bourdain, entitled "Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown."

"It's kind of like what Anthony Bourdain does right now with his show. The common denominator for him is food and when that show first came out it was about food," Reedus said in an interview.

Reedus said that he loves Bourdain's show and he is a great fan of him. He explained that while the "common denominator" of Bourdain's show is food, his series will be more about motorcycles.

"And that's kind of what we're going for with this - the motorcycles will be the common denominator and riding will be the common denominator," the TWD star said.

Reedus revealed to the publication the stage of the progress of his upcoming motorcycle show.

"We're right now in the stages of mapping out where we're going and who we're going with," the 46-year-old actor shared.

"And we've got great locations and great rides that we're planning on right now and with some guests in mind that will come on the show and we'll go on a journey with them. And hopefully the viewers will feel like they're on a journey with us," he added.

It was earlier reported that Norman Reedus, who is a bike enthusiast himself, would get to live out his passion for motorcycles in his new show where he will roam around places with fellow bikers to discover things together.

The actor expressed his hopes of having another great adventure with AMC. "I've got my knees in the breeze and I'm just looking for new stuff. It's a blast."
