As Fred Hoiberg is getting a new role as head coach of the Chicago Bulls, he's also ready to settle in a new pad in Burr Ridge. Recently, Hoiberg and his wife purchased a brand new mansion in Illinois.
The nearly $4 million pad for their new home features six bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms. The three-storey mansion has great features of a breakfast nook, dining room, media room, wet bar, full master suite with soaking tub, and an attic, as reported by the Realtor.
Last June, the former NBA guard signed a five-year deal to coach the Bulls that ought him to settle in the Windy City. Hoiberg has left his head coaching job at his alma mater in Iowa State. He also left behind a five-bedroom home on a wooded lot in Ames, which is now up for grabs.
Fred Hoiberg played in the NBA for ten years, which include four seasons with the Bulls from 1999 until 2003. Before signing a five-year deal worth $25 million to coach the Bulls, he was the coach at his alma mater, the Iowa State University.
Hoiberg talked about house hunting during an interview with Tribune's K.C. Johnson last July.
Chicago Tribune said the new three-storey mansion purchased by Hoiberg was built by Garber Construction. The 1.34-acre property features heated floors, four fireplaces, and a garage for four.
During Hoiberg's time with the Chicago Bulls, he owned a 3,877-square-foot single-family home in Buffalo Grove that he bought in 1999 for $467,000. He sold that house in 2003 to Gar Forman for $536,000, who was at the time a special assistant to then-Bulls general manager John Paxson. Gar Forman, who hired Hoiberg to coach, is now the general manager of the Bulls, while Paxson is the executive vice president of the team for basketball operations.
Back in Ames, Iowa, Hoiberg's 4,092-square-foot house with five bedrooms has been listed on the market since July for $1.173 million.
