Tobey Maguire, the "Spiderman" actor, is reportedly the buyer of Ricki Lake's recently sold Brentwood home.
In February, Lake sold her house located at 230 N Carmelina Avenue for $8.45 million. However, there was no news about who the buyer was. But according to the Real Estalker, the former Courteney Cox home was purchased by Maguire and his jewelry designer wife, Jennifer Meyer Maguire.
The buy doesn't come as a surprise given that the couple has been investing in the area as of late. Maguire reportedly paid $10 million for a vacant lot near their recent splurge in 2008, although that parcel remains undeveloped to date, the blog explains. It further notes that Maguire and his wife were renting a place in Pacific Palisades before they moved cashed in on the house.
Lake's home is a contemporary pad with swanky interiors that feature hardwood flooring and wood-beamed high ceilings. The home has floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors and is comprised of six bedrooms and five bathrooms.
Outside, there is a pool and parking garage.

Talking to the Architectural Digest about his love for architecture, Maguire said:
"I'm a big architecture fan, and I looked at lots of architecture books and met architects for about a year while I was researching who I might want to work with to design a house [Peter Zumthor has been commissioned to design Maguire's new residence]. I think architecture is about creating experience."
Maguire added that architecture has "broadened my interests and my taste. I'm appreciating different things that I wasn't paying attention to as closely."
He said: "It's something I appreciate and I love being in conversation about. Whether it's filmmaking or designing a home or even collaborating in designing furniture, I just know I always want to work with people who are extremely talented."
