Prince William and Kate Middleton vacationing in Cheval Blanc Randheli Resort in Maldives

Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, are on a one-week vacation at the Cheval Blanc Randheli resort on the Noonu Atoll in the Maldives.

The retreat designed by architect Jean-Michel Gathy is located just 40 minutes away from the capital Male and can only be reached via a seaplane.

The luxury hotel has been designed and furnished with natural materials from the Indian Ocean and is done up with yellows and greens to give it a fresh, exotic feel.

The resort has three kinds of villas - Island Villas, Water Villas and Garden Water Villas. While there is no intel on which kind of villa the Duke and Duchess have opted for, stunning views and extraordinary service is ensured. According to E!Online, services include, among other things:

1. Every guest gets two assistants of their own, who takes care of every whim at any point in the day or night.

2. They have a "Pillow Alchemist," who makes special pillows for guests. There is a pillow menu as well.

3. Every room comes with an iPad and a "Sex Kit."

The couple has garnered some public censure for leaving their 7-month-old son, Prince George, back in the U.K., where he is being cared for by his nanny and Middleton's parents.

According to Vanity Fair, the royal couple took the vacation because they wanted to get away from the headaches of royal duties as well as the on-going renovation at their Kensington Palace apartment for a while.

"It was due to be a bolt hole for the family at the weekends, but they have been confined to staying in London because the house is still not ready. They are doing a huge amount of work both inside and outside and it," a source told the publication.

"They wanted to see how the renovations were coming along and left George behind. It has taken longer than they expected and been a bit of a headache," the source added.

Kate was reportedly unhappy with the colors of their home and ordered another renovation, which sources say will not be complete until summer.
