'Thor: Ragnarok' Spoilers & Premiere Date: Movie To Introduce First Female Villain In Cinematic Universe

After the confirmation that Thor will be joined by The Hulk in his next solo film, reports are circulating that the duo might be fighting off new female villains in the upcoming movie.

According to The Real Stan Lee website, the God of Thunder might just get his hands full with new female characters, and Marvel Studios is reportedly currently looking for an actress to play the role of Valkyrie. The site confirmed that the character will definitely be part of "Thor: Ragnarok."

It was said that Valkyrie was chosen by Odin to lead a warrior of goddesses who were responsible for delivering dying fighters to Valhalla. In the comics, Valkyrie is said to be one of Thor's allies in Asgard; however, her exact role in the movie is yet to be revealed. There are rumors which claim that she could be the new love interest of Thor in the third installment.

Christian Post also reports some of the possible female villains to be added to the movie, based on the comic book characters. The site speculates that one possible female villain could be Amora the Enchantress, who is an infamous Asgardian sorceress known for her use of magic and seduction skills through supernatural means.

Aside from her, another possible character to be added is Hela the Queen of the Dead. In the comic books, she is known to be the daughter of Loki and giantess Angrbooa. It was speculated that if she will be included in the movie, she may not be regarded as Loki's daughter but will definitely be the antagonist.

As of writing there is still no confirmation from the studio if the female villain rumor is true. Meanwhile, "Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to be released on July 28, 2017.
