As if he television gore and screams of viewers are not enough, "The Walking Dead," one of the most watch TV series there is, a Walking Dead: Battle for Survival theme park ride is coming. It means guest would have a chance to shoot down animatronic reanimated corpses.
A.V. Club reports that a "mixed media" ride was revealed at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions convention in Orlando, Florida, and was designed by Sally Corp., a ride and animatronic manufacturing company based in Jacksonville, Florida. There is no final location yet or any taker as of this writing but considering how popular the show is, buyers will jump at the opportunity soon enough.
The theme park is described as "The fall-of-humanity-themed ride will roll thrill-seekers through a series of familiar locations and past well-known characters, as well as a goodly number of zombies that will be brought to life (so to speak) through a combination of 3-D projection and animatronics."
Although the description was given in a general perspective, the information is actually not available to the public but based on the existing output of Sally Corp, offers Slash Film. It could be like the a trend started by "Men in Black: Alien Attack" at Universal Studios and "Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin" at the Disney theme parks.
Perhaps not many people would appreciate it or patronize it but surely, guests would make a pilgrimage on the day it opens if just to satisfy their curiousity.
In the meantime, going back to the actual "The Walking Dead" show, are people over about Glenn's death yet? There is an speculation based on the last episode that Glenn may be the one calling from help on the other end of the walkie-talkie. Daryl, Sasha and Abraham were ambushed by a another group whom they have not yet encountered beforehand, shares For The Win. Daryl's motorcyle and crossbow were taken from him, what a tragedy.
Well, there's always that theme park in the making, right?
