Sarah Jessica Parker opens the door to her New York City townhouse (VIDEO)

Sarah Jessica Parker, "The Sex and the City" actress, opened the doors of her New York City townhouse to the people at Vogue magazine for an interview. The actress answered 73 rapid-fire questions, giving the audience a peek into her chic, down-to-earth home.

Surprisingly, the house wasn't staged for an interview. Neither was Parker. But through the course of it, she reveals that she's lived in New York City for more than 13 years, describing the place as "symphonic, tiny and real." She also adds that her favorite activity in the city is walking.

Parker's townhome has hardwood flooring and large glass windows. In the first few questions, Parker leads the interviewer through a corridor into the sitting area adorned by an emerald green sofa set, a fireplace and racks stuffed with books. Knick knacks include baseballs stacked up against each other and two glowing globes, which she thinks are the coolest accessories of the room.

In between, she jumps out to answer the phone and calls the interviewer into the inside room, where we get a glimpse of a ping-pong table, more green couches, a piano and walls filled with paintings.

There is a staircase that leads to the upper level, which probably houses the bedrooms.

Below are a few things she reveals in the interview:

1. "To Kill a Mockingbird" positively shaped her while she was at school

2. Parker prefers dogs to cats, but kittens to puppies

3. Her favorite board game is "Masterpiece"

4. She never went to prom

5. She can do an amazing British accent (of course - she is an actress)

6. She prefers heels to flats

Parker said that on a scale from 1 to 10, she is an 8 in terms of excitement about her life right now.

She recently launched her line of shoes and accessories at Michigan Avenue Nordstrom. Read an exclusive interview at her store's opening, here.
