Nicollette Sheridan of "Desperate Housewives" puts Bel Air home up for rent

Nicollette Sheridan of "Desperate Housewives" is reportedly offering up her Bel Air mansion for rent for $14,500 a month.

This is not the first time Sheridan's property has been placed on the rental market. According to the Realtor Blog, the residence was put up for lease for $12,500 a month in 2013.

Public records state that the home last sold for $2.49 million in 2001. Hidden in the canyons of Bel Air, the residence sits on a private gated lot.

Spanning an area of 2,731 square feet, the home is comprised of four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Interiors of the residence include stone-tile flooring, slanting ceilings with wood beams and large glass doors and windows.

Separate dining and drawing rooms, an office, a spa with a Jacuzzi and a gourmet kitchen with custom cabinetry are also provided.

Outside, the home has a large swimming pool, an in-ground spa, ample recreation area and an outdoor barbecue.

The listing describes the home as a "Celebrity country retreat up long private drive with gorgeous landscaped grounds over 1.5 acres and views of surrounding hills." It also notes that the "Owner will consider renting unfurnished long term or partially furnished."

The rent would be a source of income for Sheridan, especially after she was fired from the "Desperate Housewives" series in 2010, at which point she filed a lawsuit against ABC, Touchstone production and creator Marc Cherry for wrongful termination. She claims that she was fired after she retaliated for being hit on the head by Cherry, reports Kpopstarz.com.

More recently, Sheridan was granted a second trial in the $20 million lawsuit battle. Producers say they plan to appeal the ruling.
