Joe Montana, the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, has reportedly sold his condo at the Millennium Towers apartment in downtown San Francisco for $1.65 million.
The Realtor Blog reveals that Montana's residence sold sometime in January 2014. The Hall of Fame inductee's house first listed on the market for $1.75 million in October.
Montana settled into the Millennium Towers condo after selling off most of his properties in and around the country. He and his wife Jennifer have shared this one-bedroom, two-bathroom place for a little more than four years, reports the San Francisco Chronicle.
The home is a 1,400-square-foot residence sporting sleek modern interiors, hardwood flooring, drywall ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass windows.
Millennium Towers is a 60-story skyscraper located in downtown San Francisco. The luxury apartment complex offers a host of amenities, such as a gym, a theater, an outdoor terrace, a wine tasting room with large storage, an indoor pool and an RN74 restaurant by Michael Mina.
The official website states that its residences are "the canvases where owners create their own unique San Francisco lifestyle. Streetwise and close to the city's energy. Comfortably situated in a welcoming, open airy. Or high above it all, with a view of the iconic Bay Bridge and the world beyond. Here, urban luxury living is elevated to an art form."
Montana and his family have lived in various parts of the United States, buying and flipping several properties along the way. Giving a brief account of their journey, Montana said in an interview with the SF Chronicle:
"We lived in Atherton. We bought some property in the Wine Country, and we ended up building a home up there, and as the boys started getting into sports, it just wasn't a good atmosphere for pushing the kids into the D-I (Bowl Championship Subdivision) type schools. We went over to Lafayette and got them into De La Salle. It's a great school, but for a quarterback, it really wasn't a great place. That's when we ended up in Southern California. We lived in Thousand Oaks for under two years."
