NBA Rumors: Miami Heat’s Chris Andersen for DeMarcus Cousins or Kevin Durant, Trade Conjectures

There is really no telling when a rumor would turn in to a reality. Just few days after the trade rumor of Mario Chalmers came to fulfilment as he was traded to Memphis Grizzlies, the rumor mill is already weaving another Miami Heat trade rumor. This time around, the rumor surrounding this great team involves a big man.

There were some speculations recently dragging out the name of forward-center Chris Andersen. Andersen or "The Birdman," is now being rumored to be transferred to another team in order to free the franchise from too much spending. According to nvonews, "the Miami Heat may finally decide to trade the 'Birdman' to decrease their luxury bill and because of their strength at the frontcourt. Moreover, the team could consider trading Andersen as they have highly talented Chris Bosh and Josh McRoberts."

The move of the Heat is indeed feasible considering their current rooster. And most probably they would be trading Andersen for someone who is relatively young. There are many players who are included in the rumor mill right now, but most of them, if not veteran, are riddled with injury. Somehow Kevin Durant and DeMarcus Cousins are the fitting trade piece to complement the rumored trade of Andersen.

If one would examine the conjecture and bet on Durant, there expectations would surely be thwarted, for KD is still happy with his team despite him being a free agent next summer. He is still willing to go an extra mile and build a deeper connection with his current teammates while they are journeying towards success. KD even stated via espn that;

"Any good thing takes time. In this league, we always talk about windows. You usually give teams two or three years. This is what you have for two or three years. If you don't get it done, then you're moving on. A lot of the good teams in our league, they stick together, keep fighting and keep building that chemistry and experience together."

Now, if the Andersen-Cousins trade angle would be examined, this option would less likely to transpire. In the very first place, the Heat is releasing a big man, and more likely they would be avoiding another one who would be more expensive than Birdman. And besides, even though Cousins name has been dragged many times in the rumor section of the news, the will surely not trade their center star player for someone who is beyond his prime.

Still in the very end of it, a rumor springing from a speculation has a low chance of being a reality unless supported by some substantial evidence and reason. We would just have to wait for some updates of Andersen trade rumors, and avoid too much assumption unless it would be stated otherwise.
