'Persona 5' Release Date, News, Features, Updates: Gamer's Mission to Steal Hearts of Bad Guys

“Persona 5” features had been leaked after the announcement of the game's delayed release during the 2015 Tokyo Game Show. A background about the game was also released that excites fans even more.

"For this game, we're going with a challenge that fuses together a juvenile school setting that is as large as life, together with a picaresque romance. In the previous game, we wrote a story that involved having a justice group chase down a bad guy that could easily be feared by just about anyone, " Game director Katsura Hashino said according to Siliconera.

Hashino also disclosed some new features of the game that includes the ability of the characters to steal hearts. Since the game is about high school students who can turn into different personas and stand by their beliefs on what is right and are against corrupt individuals, part of their mission is to steal hearts of the corrupt officials in order to save the world from eternal darkness. Said game mechanic is important for the storyline according to Hashino, Master Herald reported.

In "Persona 5,” four high school students will have the ability to interact with the paranormal world as they are students during the day and phantom thieves at night, transforming into various personas. The game’s antagonists will be chasing them and they will be regarded as good thieves.

Aside from that, the upcoming title will be released with new modes to the system including the Cooperation modem where gamers can interact with each other and the Sneak mode where players can engage in a stealthy mode, VC Post reported.

Despite the delay, many are still looking forward for the release of the game especially because of its unique storyline and the interesting persona that the characters of the game has.

"It's been a massive outpouring and we're really happy to see people are into it as much as they are. It's a huge relief to all of us on the team to have things turn out that way. Still, it's also indicative that the anticipation is running really high among people who have enjoyed our work up until now, so it's not without some pressure coming our way, too," Hashino said according to Techno Buffalo.
