Guitarist Benji Madden, now newlywed to Cameron Diaz, has put his bachelor pad in Los Angeles on the market for $1.5 million.
The rocker formed a pop-punk band called Good Charlotte in 1996 with his twin brother, Joel. Earlier this month, the band reformed after a four-year hiatus.
The 2,183-square-foot, three-bedroom home can be a perfect getaway place for any bachelor who wants to get away from the crowded city streets. Although the home is located in the hilly section of L.A., it's just a short drive from Hollywood Boulevard, as reported by Realtor.
The open floor plan of the home is great for entertaining guests. The rectangular living room flows easily to the dining room and to the kitchen. Outside the French doors, there's a terrace at the back that extends into the woods.
The secluded half-acre property is tucked into the canyon, providing lush greens and plenty of space as well as picturesque views of the rolling hills.
Newly-married to movie star Cameron Diaz, 43, the tattooed pop-punk musician Benji Madden, 36, now wants to dispose his bachelor pad in the Nichols Canyon area of the Hollywood Hills, for an affordable price of $1.495 million.
Property records show that Madden purchased the 1950s ranch-style bungalow house in early 2013 for $1.125 million. Current listing details show that the property has three bedrooms and three bathrooms.
Madden made a number of interior improvements with the installation of oak floorboards and the addition of can lights in the flat ceilings. Everything was also sprayed a fresh coat of paint. New bathrooms were also installed with counter tops and brass fixtures, and some of the old plumbings were also repaired and replaced.
Variety news said that the home also has a separate and spacious sky-lit den with a pine paneled vaulted ceiling, built-in storage cabinets, and a cottage-like river rock fireplace.
Beautifully nestled into a steep and wooded canyon slope, the home has great features of several red brick terraces and small decks that surround the house.
