The Washington D.C. home used in the 2005 geopolitical thriller "Syriana," starring Matt Damon and George Clooney, has reportedly gone under contract for sale.
According to the Washington Post, agents representing the celebrity home said the deal is almost done and that the buyers have agreed to pay "substantially over $1.2 million" less than a month from listing.
Daryl Judy, an associate broker at Washington Fine Properties, told the publication that the residence received several offers for and above its $1.2 million asking price, adding that the buyers purchased the home because it met all their daily needs. The "Hollywood glamour" of it all was just an added incentive, he said.
In the movie, the residence was used to portray the home of Bennett Holiday (played by Jeffrey Wright), the rising lawyer at a Washington firm employed to investigate a merger between two oil giants.
Most of the scenes shot at the residence located at 2100 12th St. were of the living room, reports Curbed. Listing records of the home state that the place is a 1,726-square-foot row house with three bedrooms, two full and one half bathrooms.

Reflecting on playing the part of Bennett Holiday, Wright told NPR the role was both relatable and comfortable.
"Yeah, I grew up in Washington. My mom was a lawyer for the government for many years so, you know, this stuff is home for me," he said. "And I, you know, as you said, studied political science with the intention probably of going on to be a lawyer."
