Tyra Banks is quitting her two-month old daytime show, "FABLife." The model-turned-businesswoman said she needed to lay low from her television work to focus on her new cosmetics line.
"This is a very difficult decision, but necessary," 41-year-old Banks said in the statement to The Hollywood Reporter.
"FABLife" is Banks' re-entry to the daytime talk show genre. Her previous talk show, "The Tyra Banks Show," wrapped up in 2010 after five seasons and two Daytime Emmy awards for outstanding informative talk show.
"FABLife" uses a format similar to "The View," with Banks as main facilitator along with a panel of other co-hosts and contributors -- supermodel Chrissy Teigen, fashion editor Joe Zee, interior designer Lauren Makk, and YouTube sensation Leah Ashely. The show tackles lifestyle issues, celebrity gossip and DIY tips.
However, Banks said that the new show will not be going off air -- she remains to be "FABLife's" executive producer and is looking for a replacement host. In addition, she will still be making limited appearances on the show throughout the season.
"I will be devoting more time to my new, growing cosmetics company, TYRA Beauty, which is expanding faster than anticipated, as well as overseeing my company's other entertainment ventures. I will, however, continue to support the growth and success of FABLife and greatly admire my fellow co-hosts and the talented production team behind the show," the former supermodel said.
Banks is one of the few supermodels who have their runway career into a lucrative business. According to The Richest, Banks has an estimated net worth of $90 million in 2015. Since stepping into the catwalk at 17, she has done countless of fashion shows and photoshoots for high-profile brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Ralph Lauren and Victoria's Secret.
Aside from fashion, Banks also forayed into the world of movies, music and books. Her most successful TV project to date is "America's Next Top Model," where she is both creator and host through her own production company, Bankable Productions.
"America's Next Top Model" will finally bid farewell this December, after 12 years and 22 cycles. However, Banks is far from slowing down. She is currently working on another series for Disney Channel, entitled "Life-Size 2." In 2014, she completed a certificate program at Harvard Business School and launched Tyra Beauty, her personally-funded cosmetics line.
