Samsung Galaxy users will be happy to learn that they will be receiving the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow. That is according to the leaked roadmap for the flagship phones by Samsung. Some Galaxy users will be receiving updates by December.
Many phone manufacturers, such as Huawei, HTC, Motorola and Sony, are scrambling to get their respective devices updated to the latest Android OS after Google has officially released the latest version. Luckily, Samsung will be getting theirs really soon, thanks to the leaked roadmap information.
Samsung will be carrying out two stages of rolling out the update. The first to receive the Android Marshmallow will be the latest flagship phones and other devices, such as Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, as Times News UK reported.
The devices that have an approval for the update are Galaxy Note 5 (model number SM-N920G) and the S6 Edge Plus (model number SM-G928G) and will be receiving it by next month. That is if the information is real.
Furthermore, by January 2016, the next two handsets, the Galaxy S6 with model number SM-G920I and the S6 Edge with model number SM-G925I will be receiving the Marshmallow update. The Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge will be next by February 2016.
For the second phase, the units that will be included are Galaxy A8, Galaxy A7, Galaxy A5, Galaxy A3, Galaxy E7 and Galaxy E5. However, there is still no release date for these units. It is still waiting for approval from the higher-ups in Samsung, according to Tech Times.
Currently, all the devices mentioned on the list are already loaded with Android 5.1.1. Lollipop that makes them more eligible for the Marshmallow version.
Samsung, on the other hand, has not yet said anything about these leaked information.
