Elvis Presley’s Beverly Hills home sells for $14.5 million

Elvis Presley's Beverly Hills home has sold for $14.5 million, according to real estate sources.

The Real Estalker broke news of the sale, claiming that Hard Rock Café co-founder Peter Morton, the owner of the house, sold the place after marketing it in a pocket listing.

Morton purchased the Trousdale Estates residence in December 2012 for $9.8 million. Soon after, it was reported that he planned on razing down the house to build a new place, according to Curbed. However, preservationists opposed his decision and Morton finally gave up on the idea of bringing down the residence.

Presley and his wife Priscilla purchased the home in 1967 for $4 million and sold it when they separated. The home was put up for rent for $250,000 a month before it was listed in October for $12.9 million.

Just like old times, the home was offered up for rent for $45,000 a month in February before it sold.

In November 2013, rumors had it that Burger King offered $3.9 million for the musical-pedigree home.

The multi-wing Beverly Hills property of the legendary singer sits in an affluent neighborhood home to celebrities like Jennifer Aniston and David Spade.

The main unit, which was recently renovated, spreads across 5,367 square feet on a 1.19-acre lot. The home has four bedrooms and five bathrooms with spacious living and dining areas. There is also a family room, an office and a media room. A new modern kitchen was installed during renovations. The home features slider doors and floor-to-ceiling windows that provide scenic views of the canyons and the city. The home opens out into patios that overlook the garden area. A swimming pool, a spa, a four-car garage and a motor court make up the exteriors.

Another Presley property is up for sale. The residence, dubbed "Graceland West," is located in Palm Springs, Calif., and sports a $3.95 million price tag.

Morton currently lives in a more than 13,000-square-foot home in Holmby Hills. In 2011, he sold his Tudor-style Beverly Hills mansion to Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock at a loss. He also maintains a designer oceanfront home in Carbon Beach, the Real Estalker reports.
