Rumors have it the Pierson Fode could possibly be cast as the new MacGyver in the planned reboot for the primetime series. If that happens, would Fode leave "The Bold and The Beautiful"?
The rumors started to emerge after Pierson's interview with Lilly Melgar (Lily Corinthos in "General Hospital") and Martha Madison (Belle Brady in "Days of Our Lives") on their tradiov.com "Soap Box" talk show last week. According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Martha asked Fode how he deals with pressure, to which Fode replied that he thrives under pressure and laughingly said he can make a plane out of duct tape and a mope.
"You know, they're looking for a new MacGyver!" Madison joked. "Hey! Hey, call me! My agent..." Fode said kidding. According to CBS, the "MacGyver" reboot will follow the director James Wan's initial concept: "A reimagining of the television series of the same name, following a 20-something MacGyver as he gets recruited into a clandestine organization where he uses his knack for solving problems in unconventional ways to help prevent disasters from happening."
CDL said that seems to be a role fit for Fode, having the same height and build with Richard Anderson in 1980s.
Pierson took over the role of Thomas Forrester in "The Bold and The Beautiful" in July. It was previously played by Adam Gregory and Drew Tyler Bell. If he leaves the show for a primetime, would Thomas leave town as well? He doesn't have a serious love interest in the soap as of late.
Recent spoilers though tease that Thomas will be in a spotlight as he gets into a confrontation with Wyatt over his moves to win Ivy's attention. But Wyatt's meddling would only cause Thomas to push more and get what he wants. In addition, Thomas will overhear Ridge and Caroline arguing about a big secret although he would not catch the whole conversation.
