'Moto E' vs 'Moto G' Review, Specs, Price: 'Moto E' For Selfie Lovers, Both Smartphones Are Good Buys

Although Motorola may not be the dominant name when it comes to smartphones, the company has proven to its users that they can produce top quality phones - not only in the upper midrange category, but also in the lower midrange department. Two good Motorola affordable phones are the second generations of the "Moto E" and the "Moto G". These two phones are released 2015 and both come with specs that will definitely cater to the needs of a regular smartphone user. Here's a quick summary of what these two can offer:

Specs

Both these affordaphones come with LTE support, which is rather relieving considering how important this feature has become. The "Motorola Moto G" has a bigger screen than the "Motorola Moto E", as the "Moto G" has a 5 inch screen and the "Moto E" only has a 4.5 inch screen. Furthermore, the "Moto G" is also a bit better on the display department as it comes with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and the "Moto E" only has a 540 x 960 pixel display. Both phones are covered with corning Gorilla Glass 3.

For the phones' internals, the "Moto E" and "Moto G" aren't exactly too far away from each other. Both run Android Lollipop and both come with 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal memory, and 32 GB microSd capacity. The "Moto E" is powered by Snapdragon LTE while the Moto G is powered by Snapdragon 400.

Being the higher priced among the two, the "Moto G" has higher camera megapixels compared to "Moto E". It has an 8 MP rear cam and a 2 MP front cam, while the "Moto E "comes with 5 MP and VGA cameras. Luckily, both phones have FM radios and both phones come with a Li Ion 2390 mAh battery.

Conclusions

If you're looking for a good and affordable phones, you won't regret buying one of these two. If you are a selfie taker, the Moto E's VGA front cam may push you back a bit, especially that VGA's should not be in smartphones. But it's really affordable, so any complaints can be compensated by that. The "Moto G" on the other hand is pretty much a good buy, especially that all you need is in it too - LTE, radio, and average cameras. Battery wise, these two phones 2390 mAh battery isn't too bad of a news too, considering that we are still seeing 2000 mAh battery in some newly released phones.

Overall, the "Moto E" and the "Moto G" are both clever buys for anyone looking for entry level phones for browsing and not-too-demanding gaming.
