"Days Of Our Lives" star A Martinez gushes about his on screen character as Eduardo Hernandez and said that he can still be redeemed.
According to Soap Opera Spy, Martinez wants his "DOOL" fans to see the softer side of Eduardo because he believes that there is that good part of him that is yet to be shown.
In Martinez's interview with Serial Scoop, he talked about the 50th anniversary of "Days Of Our Lives" and what to look forward to with his character as Eduardo. When the veteran actor was asked about his character's storyline and what to expect of him, he answered, "Seeking atonement."
And then he was asked if it could be possible for him to be friends with Eduardo. Martinez said that it is possible for them to be friends given that he is interested in the story of other people, however, he doubts if they could be "really good friends."
Martinez said that Eduardo is "so damaged, such a problematic creature. It might get tiring after a while." But there is something to look forward to with Eduardo because Martinez said, "they told me that he could be charming, which is wonderful as an actor."
Martinez believes that in some ways Eduardo can still change as he said that there is a "certain level of charm that's starting to come out, but there's always a sense with him, that in the center there's nothing; everything is kind of a show around an empty center."
When asked about portraying another character, if that will be possible, then who would it be? A answered that would be Chad DiMera, but he wants to portray it the way Billy Flynn does. But then A said he is not sure if he can do it and said, "The kind of miraculous stuff he does, it's pretty special."
Martinez also shared how social media changed his life, saying, "I can't believe what a blessing it is. I love it." Martinez believes that through social media he gets to explain further what his character is all about and he gets to interact with his fans.
