'One-Punch Man' Episode 8 Review: Villain Survives for the First Time without Being Destroyed; Episode 9 Preview, Will Lightning Max and Stinger Sacrifice?

"One-Punch Man" anime episode 8 has been aired on Monday. This episode has started the "The Deep Sea King" arc. For the last eight episodes, this has been the first time that a villain survived and was not destroyed by Saitama. The spoilers of the upcoming episode entitled "Unyielding Justice" reveals Lightning Max and Stinger bragging at each other.

Yibada reports that City Z is facing a new threat from a scary creature that is from the bottom of the sea. The "One-Punch Man" episode 8 is tailored from the plot of One and Yusuke Murata's manga chapter 23. The said chapter is also entitled "Threat from the Seas," which marks the first appearance of the king of the sea, the Deep Sea King.

In the report of Design N Trend, it says that new species of monsters have attacked City Z. As these monsters vowed to enslave and annihilate the people, Stinger, who is a Class A hero, came forward and killed those monsters. However, he failed to notice that one sea monster was lying in wait. This creature was the real threat.

The degree of threat in "One-Punch Man" episode 8 rose from Tiger level to Demon. Unfortunately, most of the heroes backed down except for Saitama, Genos, and Mumen Rider, who were all class C heroes. However, "the Deep Sea King ends up being intercepted by prisoners that had escaped from jail."

Instead of fighting the three class C heroes, the Deep Sea King ended up fighting Sonic and Pri Pri. But then, these duo of prisoners of the "One-Punch Man" anime series could not match the king of the sea, and so they retreated.

As seen, the episode ended without Saitama knocking down the Deep Sea King. Perhaps, this fight is reserved for the upcoming episodes of the "One-Punch Man" anime series.

In a separate report by Yibada, it says that the preview of episode 9 of "One-Punch Man" began with "Stinger asking Lightning Max about his Gigantic Drill Stinger. He continued to brag that he defeated ten of those Seafolk creatures. But he didn't give Lightning Max a chance to answer his question. Instead, he assumed that the rank 19 Superhero with a lightning kick did well in fighting the sea monsters.

But then, towards the end of the "One-Punch Man" episode 9 preview, Lightning Max told Stinger that he's not sure "who will mete it out" between the two of them, but one thing that he wants to make sure is that their sacrifices will bring good results.

What do you think will happen in the upcoming episode of "One-Punch Man?" Do you think the two Class A heroes will sacrifice themselves? And, was your expectation met in the previous episode? Share your thoughts below.
