Celebrity Homes For Sale: Justin Leonard Buys Aspen Mansion For $9M

Justin Leonard, American professional golfer, has bought a luxurious mansion located in Aspen, Colorado for $9 million, a report from Los Angeles Times said on Monday.

"Sited on a corner lot, the house was built in 1994 and has five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms in 5,500 square feet of living space. Two floors of living take in sprawling mountain views. Among the features is a formal entry with a sweeping staircase, a media room with a wet bar and French doors that open to an outdoor dining area and fire pit," the report said.

Aspen Times reports that Leonard, who was the British Open champion in 1997, is actually a 12-time winner on the PGA Tour. "His purchase of the Aspen home comes two months after he sold his Highland Park, Texas, home for $13.8 million."

Leonard's posh home has an "open-plan living room, dining room and kitchen with a large center island highlight the main level. On the second floor, the master suite sports a fireplace, a sitting area and a private balcony, while a covered patio sits adjacent to the office. Elsewhere on the grounds is an outdoor hot tub area and two-car garage."

It was said that the seller of the property is Mustang Holdings LLC. The property is actually a single-family residential type which was built in 2002 and has a total area of 5, 500 square feet.

 "Justin Leonard, a Concord High graduate and the current coach of the Epping/Newmarket football team, was named New Hampshire's head coach for the 2016 Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl. Leonard was a member of the Crimson Tide's 2000 championship team and graduated in 2001," Concord Monitor said.

"He attended Utica College and graduated from Plymouth State in 2006, where he was a student assistant coach in 2004. He has football coaching experience at Concord High, Cienega (Ariz.) High, Cambridge (Mass.) Rindge and Latin and Spaulding High. He landed the head coaching position at Epping/Newmarket in 2014," the report said.
