Beau Bridges, "The Millers" actor, has finally managed to unload his home in Hidden Hills, Calif., for $2.4 million.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Bridges and his wife Wendy sold it for a considerable profit, having paid $1.2 million for the residence in 1988.
However, the home had a rough ride on the real estate market. It was first listed in 2010 for $3.25 million. It was removed later that year and listed again in 2011 for $2.85 million. Over the years, its price was reduced more than four times, last listing for $2.59 million.
Jeffery Biebuyck and Dana Olmes of Ewing Sotheby's International Real Estate represented the sale.
According to the listing records at Zillow, the residence is a 6,800-square-foot, single-family home sitting on a 1.16-acre lot. Designed by famous architect Marshall Lewis, the house has unique wood-beamed high ceilings and glazed wooden floors. Dual staircases lead up to the second floor.
Comprised of six bedrooms and six bathrooms, the beautiful home has a renovated modern kitchen, a walk-in pantry, a breakfast room, a separate dining area, a living room, an office, a family room with a wet bar and a billiards room.
The house is surrounded by greenery, with gardens offering ample space for recreation. There is also a brick-lined swimming pool and an attached spa, a tennis court, a greenhouse and an attached parking garage.
The listing describes the home as an "enchanting custom Hidden Hills residence...nestled on approx 1.15 usable acres of lushly landscaped grounds."
