Morena Baccarin had to go through a lot, having to say it herself that she is going to marry her "Gotham" co-star, Ben Mckenzie, even before their proposal enraged the rumor markets on the Internet, just to be able to get the divorce from Austin Chick.
With the divorce judgment coming up sooner, Baccarin is ordered by the judge to pay her soon-to-be ex-husband a whopping $23,000 per month.
Austin Chick, who apparently was "shocked" and "blindsided" to find out that the pair's relationship had become more than just professional, will be getting $2,693 in child support and $20,249 for spousal support. Every year, Baccarin will have to pay Chick around $275,000, as Yahoo! reported.
Baccarin and Chick have joint custody for their 2-year-old son, Julius. However, the actress would have to film in New York City, this is why Julius would most likely be staying with her. Chick is allowed to visit his son every month for eight days, provided that he will give notice 15 days ahead of his planned visit. He can also bring Julius back to Los Angeles every two months for eight days and the travel expenses are charged to his ex. Morena won the custody hearing back in September, TMZ reported.
"Today, I am in a new committed relationship. I am planning to re-marry. Also, I am three-and-a-half months pregnant,” Baccarin wrote in court documents filed by her attorney on Sept. 11. The couple’s trial is still on-going, but Morena has obviously moved on as she is now pregnant with Mckenzie.
Her romance with Mckenzie has surprised many people, including fans, and of course, her husband, according to ET Online. "Austin was totally shocked when he found out about the affair," one source said. "Totally blindsided. When Morena left him for Ben, Austin was devastated -- completely shocked."
