"Instead think about your layout and workspace. They call it the triangle. Basically it is the space where your cook area, sink and dishwasher meet to create an effortless flow when working," advised Blashaw.
Curtis also details how a good layout will do the trick for your kitchen. "Spend the money on the layout - it never goes out of style. If you have a great layout, plugging in new appliances, hardware and cabinets can be quick and easy."
2. Bathroom
The bathroom could make or break it for your home's value. As advised, a classic design and adornment of fixtures will never go wrong for these. Ensuring some architectural design on the bathroom will also help increase the value of the home.
3. Ditch the wood panels and popcorn
Wood Panels in your home may indicate that it is old so to avoid the notion, try changing this to a more up-to-date design. Aside from this, popcorns also are a no-no. This can be fixed by simple paint job or choose a drywall instead.
4. Real Wood Floors
Laminated types of floors hints off low value or "cheapness." This is one thing you need to consider as well, change these to real wood floorings which are cheaper than engineered ones.
5. Consider Plumbing Upgrades
Appraisers highly considers plumbing as one aspect of the home according to Blashaw. Consider some upgrades in your plumbing system if needed. Blashaw even advise PEX which is a new way to upgrade plumbing without going through a lot of hassle and labor.
