NBA Trade Rumors: Kristaps Porzingis, DeMarcus Cousins and Robin Lopez, a Three-Way Trade Deal

It's no secret that a trade deal is being linked to DeMarcus Cousins of the Sacramento Kings. Following his outburst in the locker room and the cursing of his head coach, Cousins has been on the trade mill all month long. And in the most recent update, Cousins is being rumored to be traded to the Celtics, allegedly for the reason of immaturity. Cheatsheet also reported that, "He [Cousins] has continually been a problem in the locker room and struggles to get on the same page as any of his head coaches outside of Mike Malone. This comes to a point where Divac and team owner, Vivek Ranadive, should look into moving Cousins for the betterment of the team."

If Divac would be moving Cousins to a better team, then the question would be which NBA team would likely accept Cousins and his attitude. According to previous reports, the Celtics would likely grab the opportunity of having a center player like Cousins. However, such acquisition would be a risk for the coaching staff, especially for the Celtics' head coach, Brad Stevens, who is relatively new in the professional league. As Yibada put it, Coach Brad Stevens "has yet to coach anyone being close to the inflated ego of DeMarcus Cousins, who has been treated royally by the Kings."

Now to somehow answer this riddle, The Sports Guy, Bill Simmons, suggested that a three-way deal could be possible. Simmons tweeted that, "3-way deal: Boogie to the Knicks, Porzingis to Boston, Lopez plus Boston's unprotected Brooklyn 2016 pick to Sacramento... WHO SAYS NO?"

Yes, the upcoming star and rookie, Porzingis, and the veteran Lopez could actually solve this conundrum. According to Yidaba, "The Kings will have a starting center (Robin Lopez) and a possible lottery pick and be free of the issues brought about by Cousins," this while Porzingris could stay in Boston.

The suggestion is indeed ridiculous. However, if you would likely check the Cousins to the Knicks scenario, it somehow makes sense, especially when the time for Carmelo to win a championship is running out. With the presence of DeMarcus Cousins in the line-up, he would not have to wait a long period of time for a big man and second superstar to develop, like their current promising rookie center, Porzingis. And with the coaching ability and NBA career of Fisher, Cousins would perhaps respect him as a coach. But still, rumors  will remain as rumors unless actualized -- guess we would just have to wait for this puzzle to find its missing piece.
