Nicki Minaj Lawsuit: Rapper Sued by Chateau Nightclub for Being Late

Nicki Minaj has been making the headlines, but this time it's for a lawsuit. As per Celebrity Net Worth, the "Anaconda" singer was supposed to make an hour appearance back in May 2.

As per the details, Nicki Minaj was scheduled to appear at a night club in Las Vegas by 12 midnight, after the Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao fight. It was then added that according to the lawsuit, Minaj was supposed to stay at the club for an hour and perform two songs. In exchange of her time and performance, the rapper got an upfront payment in the amount of $263,000. It may be a simple deed, but it seems like Minaj wasn't able to fulfill her entertainment duties.

The lawsuit that was filed by Chateau Nightclub. The source stated that Nicki arrived at the club an hour and 19 minutes late, this being said, she arrived at 1:19 am. To add insult to injury, the singer only stayed at the club for only 34 minutes. As a result of Minaj being late, the nightclub argues that they lost profit, as it affected their VIP tables' sales, which is $25,000 each. Though the club didn't sue the rapper directly, they opted to sure her booking company, Pink Personality.

Aside from her Chateau Nightclub lawsuit, she also faced a $30 million lawsuit back in 2014. As per CNN, a lawsuit was filed by Terrence Davidson. As per the website, Davidson worked for Minaj as a stylist back in January 2010 and both Minaj and Davidson were planning to start a wig business.

But things didn't push though, by 2012, the suit stated that, "Minaj and her agents became mum about the business ventures and took active steps to isolate Mr. Davidson and preclude him from the notoriety he deserved for his wig designs."

Davidson's attorney then stated that:

"On its face you might think, what this guy is suing over wigs, But we really have to consider this in context. Hair is a multibillion-dollar industry, but moreover these are not your grandma's wigs. These are eclectic. They are decadent, and they are creative. This is about a brand that Terrence has built."
