To make amends for the poor handling and updating of the rosters for the game's offline modes, the developers decided to give "UEFA Euro 2016" add-on for "Pro Evolution Soccer 2016" free to all players.
According to Polygon, players were angered by the error on the rosters of "Pro Evolution Soccer 2016." Ardent fans of the game gave it poor rating after it was released in September 2015 not for video quality or server failures but the way the developers and Konami handled the rosters in the offline mode of the game. The rosters were said to be a little more than a month out of date when the game was released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
Thus the add-on will be free. The announcement of course was accompanied by sort of an apology and an explanation. According to Konami, Football & Alliances Director Erik Bladinieres said, "It has been a difficult few months for the fans, with a lot of confidence lost in how we have been delivering content in our recent Data Packs, with some items missing that our consumers expected."
Bladinieres continued, "The PES Production team appreciate their fans' support and want to put things right. The team want to reward their support and bring back confidence in the Data Pack releases. With this announcement we hope we can regain their trust. The next Data Pack is scheduled for early December, including the Maracana stadium long-awaited by our Brazilian fans, more faces, new national team kits just announced in early November, club teams and the player roster which was confirmed on October 19th."
The launch date for the said free content was not yet announced but Bladinieres said to "wait for further announcement details" along with an assurance to resolve the issue and to release more free content in the future.
